Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic full time Front of House Lead to join our team. You would be responsible for creating a nice experience for every customer through friendly conversation and your expert recommendations. The right candidate would be a caring and organized leader with flexible availability, a passion for excellent customer service, and impeccable organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Take customer orders, via phone and in person, on Square POS
- Take pre-orders and catering orders
- Offer high end service through friendly conversation and recommendations
- Maintain basic knowledge of current menu items (coffee, pastries, and cakes)
- Ability to communicate frequently and cooperatively with bakers and chefs
- Create consistent beverages and drinks to company standard
- Follow all safety procedures -- food safety & kitchen safety
- Operate manual espresso machine and steam wands
- Keep composure and provide excellent service during higher-paced holidays & weekends
- Ability to self-direct/prioritize tasks without supervision
- Ability to keep a clean shared work space
- Training of new front of house team members
- Ordering and inventory of front-of-house supplies
- Scheduling the front of house team
- Having flexible availability to cover shifts due to call-outs or sickness
Qualifications
Preferred:
- 3 years in a food service managerial/lead position
- 2 years barista experience
Required:
- A team player who supports a healthy and happy work atmosphere
- Consistent attendance and reliability
- Ability to stand and be on your feet for long periods of time
- Full-time (32-40 hours) availability
- At least one year in managerial/lead position in retail and/or food service
Shifts
- Day shift - the bakery is open Mon-Sat from 8am-4pm, with openers starting at 7am and closers ending by 4:30.
- The right candidate would be able to create their own schedule/shifts.
Pay
- Weekly pay
- Base pay is $23.00/hour
- Cash tips split daily
