Front of House Staff

Shutters on King, a new American restaurant located in the heart of Leesburg, is currently hiring! We're excited to offer a dining experience that includes a raw bar and a diverse menu, featuring everything from day boat scallops to herb-crusted Elysian Fields lamb loin. Our guests will also enjoy an extensive wine list and multiple dining options, including rooftop dining, an outdoor patio, and several private dining spaces.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team and contribute their skills alongside some of the best hospitality and culinary professionals in the area. If you are interested in being part of this exciting new venture, we would love to hear from you!

Open Positions:

• Server - $2.13/hr plus tips - 3 open positions
• Bartender - $2.13/hr plus tips - 3 open positons
• Server Assistant - $10/hr plus tips - 2 open positions
• Food Runner - $10/hr plus tips - 2 open positions
• Daytime Host - $18/hr minimum - Full-time and morning availability required

Responsibilities:

• Wear a many hats attitude, supporting the entire FOH operations
• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar including dining spaces and waiting areas.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food and beverages.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, including food and drink pairings.
• Preparing bills and accepting payments
• Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to enhance their experience.
• Support promotional activities or sales initiatives to boost customer engagement.
• Additional responsibilities depending on position

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a seated restaurant and/or bar
• Ability to handle heavy volumes and significant busy periods
• Basic math skills
• Familiarity with operating a POS is a plus
• A knowledge of beverages is an advantage
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
