Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick turnaround times
• Prepare and serve food items in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards, including basic food preparation tasks
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
• Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance sales and improve guest experience
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including bussing tables and sanitizing surfaces regularly
• Assist with food handling, serving, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations

Experience

• Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, register balancing, and retail math calculations
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and strong communication abilities
• Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or café environment will help you thrive in this role
