The Charlotte Hotel & Restaurant is a boutique property with just 8 guest rooms and an intimate restaurant open five days a week. We’re looking for a Front of House Associate to join our small, close-knit team in a dual hospitality role that blends restaurant service, bartending, and light hotel operations.

Because we’re a small operation, this position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and genuinely loves hospitality in all its forms—from crafting a great cocktail to welcoming a guest checking in for the night.

About the Role

This is a hybrid position that supports both the restaurant and hotel. You’ll work the bar and dining floor in our lobby restaurant while also assisting with basic hotel front desk tasks. It’s a hands-on role where no two shifts look exactly the same.

This position offers a base hourly rate plus tips, with pay dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities

Restaurant & Bar

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personable service
• Take food and beverage orders and process payments accurately
• Prepare and serve beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining areas
• Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure smooth, timely service
• Uphold all food safety and responsible alcohol service standards

Hotel & Guest Services

• Check guests in and assist with basic front desk needs
• Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries
• Prepare and organize reservation envelopes and guest materials
• Act as a welcoming point of contact for hotel and restaurant guests

What We’re Looking For

• Prior experience in serving and/or bartending (boutique, fine dining, or small hospitality settings preferred)
• Comfortable working independently and wearing multiple hats
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Basic POS and cash-handling experience
• Organized, reliable, and proactive
• Calm and professional in a slower-paced but detail-driven environment
• Experience with hotel or front desk operations is a plus, but not required
