Job Description

We are seeking individuals who will be responsible for providing an exceptional experience to customers, preparing and serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, and contributing to the overall smooth operation of the cafe.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer Experience: Greet customers warmly, take orders, and provide helpful recommendations on the menu and additions
  • Smoothie Bar: prepare smoothies, shakes, and acai bowls according to recipes and customer preferences (allergies as well), ensuring freshness and proper storage
  • Cash Handling: process transactions accurately, handle cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payments, and provide correct change
  • Cleanliness: Keep workstations, equipment, and dining areas clean and sanitized, following health and safety guidelines
  • Menu Knowledge: stay informed about menu items and ingredient details to assist customers with dietary preferences or restrictions
  • Upselling: suggest add-ons, such as protein powders to enhance customer experience and increase sales
  • Food Safety: Adhere to food safety standards, including proper food handling, storage, and temperature control, to prevent contamination and ensure food quality
  • Inventory Management: stocking ingredients, receiving orders and checking for quality and accuracy, proper storage, utilizing a first-in, first-out rotation system (FIFO)

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and multitask effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
  • Food handler’s certification and OLCC certification
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
