Greet and check in patients for scheduled imaging appointments in a professional and courteous manner.
Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and required identification at check-in.
Confirm imaging orders and ensure all required authorizations and referrals are in place prior to the appointment.
Collect copayments, deductibles, or outstanding balances according to office policy.
Ensure all necessary paperwork, consent forms, and questionnaires are completed prior to imaging procedures.
Scan and upload documents into the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Notify imaging technologists of patient arrival and maintain communication to support efficient patient flow.
Schedule or reschedule imaging appointments as needed.
Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries regarding imaging services and appointments.
Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist with verifying orders and coordinating with referring providers when additional information is required.
Maintain an organized front office area and ensure patient records are handled accurately and securely.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in a medical office, radiology, or imaging department preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes preferred.
Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and scheduling software is a plus.
