Front Office & Insurance Verification Representative

We are looking for a pleasant representative to fill the position for Checkout in our front office. This is a fast-paced Family Practice clinic looking for an organized person with the ability to multi-task and prioritize. You must have the ability to handle a high volume of calls. This position requires an ability to verify and understand medical insurance eligibility and benefits.

This position is for a customer-oriented person with the ability to handle difficult situations at times. You should be able to deal with complaints and give accurate information.

Responsibilities

(Are but not limited to):

• Medical insurance verification and eligibility benefits.
• Scheduling appointments.
• Answer questions and address complaints.
• Answer all incoming calls and redirect them or take/send messages through EHR.
• Scanning and indexing documents into EHR.
• Data entry in EHR.
• Collect balances, co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles.
• Shredding.
• Monitor office supplies and place orders when necessary.
• Take up other duties as assigned.
  
  

Requirements And Skills

• Experience as a medical front desk representative.
• Dependable, Responsible, Trustworthy.
• Familiarity with office equipment. (e.g. copier, fax, printer etc.)
• Knowledge of basic office skills.
• Proficient in English (oral and written).
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Customer service oriented.
• High School diploma.

We are open Monday-Thursday from 7:00am-4:00pm and Friday from 7:00am-1:00pm, no weekends.

We are a busy Family Medicine practice with one physician who is dual board certified in Family and Sleep Medicine and two Family Nurse Practitioners. We see patients of all ages but, we care for a large population of the elderly. Many of these patients have chronic conditions. In addition to seeing patients that are sick, we also provide wellness exams, school, sports physicals and sleep issues. The physician has been in practice for over 25 years. He graduated from MIT with an engineering degree, transitioned into medicine and has been serving the Tomball area since 2001. One of our Nurse Practitioners has been practicing in the Tomball area for over 20 years. Our other Nurse Practitioner has been with our practice for over 5 years after moving here from out of state.
