FRONT OFFICE RECEPTIONIST (MALE)

ROLE PURPOSE
The Receptionist is responsible for delivering a professional and welcoming first point of contact for guests at the KAY Hospitality front desk, managing check-in/check-out, reservations, guest inquiries, and front office administration to ensure a smooth and positive guest experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome guests warmly, manage check-in and check-out procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Handle reservations (walk-in, phone, OTA/online) and update the Property Management System (PMS) accordingly.
- Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly, escalating to the Duty Manager/Supervisor where required.
- Process guest payments, deposits, and folios accurately, issuing receipts in line with cash handling procedures.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping and Maintenance on room status, readiness, and guest requests.
- Maintain accurate guest records, registration cards, and ID/passport documentation in line with company and regulatory requirements.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and messages professionally, directing them to the appropriate department.
- Monitor and report daily occupancy, arrivals, departures, and revenue figures to Management as required.
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the front desk and lobby area.
- Follow all front office SOPs, including night audit procedures and shift handover reports, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a Front Office/Receptionist role within a hotel, serviced apartment, or hospitality environment.
- Familiarity with hotel PMS systems (e.g., Opera, or similar) is an advantage.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and welcoming manner.
- Strong command of spoken and written English; additional languages (Arabic, Hindi, etc.) an advantage.
- Good computer literacy, including MS Office and PMS/reservation systems.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in cash handling, billing, and guest documentation.
- Ability to remain calm, courteous, and solution-oriented when handling guest concerns.
- Well-groomed, presentable, and able to always represent the KAY Hospitality brand professionally.
WORK CONDITIONS
- Shift-based role, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays as per roster.
- Front-facing role requiring extended periods of standing at the front desk.
Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
