Front Office Supervisor

Position Summary:

The Front Office Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the front desk, ensuring smooth check-in and check-out processes, maintaining guest satisfaction, and supporting the Front Office team. The role requires strong leadership, customer service skills, and the ability to handle guest concerns effectively.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily front desk operations, ensuring efficiency and excellent guest service.
  • Assist in training, coaching, and guiding front office staff.
  • Handle guest complaints, requests, and feedback professionally and promptly.
  • Ensure proper handling of reservations, room assignments, and billing procedures.
  • Maintain a positive working environment and encourage teamwork within the department.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to hotel policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Coordinate with other departments (Housekeeping, Engineering, F&B, etc.) for smooth guest service delivery.
  • Assist in scheduling shifts and monitoring staff attendance and performance.
  • Ensure accurate cash handling, posting of charges, and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Support in achieving departmental goals such as guest satisfaction scores and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience in Front Office operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Knowledge of Property Management Systems (PMS) such as Opera/Fidelio.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle high guest volumes.
  • Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
