Frontend Developer

The Front-End Developer is responsible for maintaining and updating e-commerce websites, developing new functionalities, and managing front-end coding for templates, pages, and newsletters. He/she serves as a technical expert consultant for new e-commerce projects

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily website updates and consistently focus on developing and implementing new features to enhance the overall website experience.
• Design and develop templates for static and dynamic pages, micro-sites, sweepstakes, and landing pages in alignment with e-commerce and marketing strategies.
• Ensure the optimization of the website for all devices, prioritizing a mobile-first approach and ensuring responsiveness across various screen sizes.
• Develop performance measurement tools and contribute to achieving KPIs for emails, including open/click rates and conversion rates. This involves coding efficient mobile newsletters and conducting thorough testing to ensure optimal performance.
• Improve the customer journey on the website by suggesting, project managing, and testing evolutionary and new features. Ensure these developments do not adversely affect the ongoing operation of the website. Successfully implement responsive designs and ensure cross browser compatibility to enhance the user experience.
• Maintain continuous website functionality and ensure a smooth customer journey by consistently testing, troubleshooting, and resolving front-end bugs.
• Remain informed of the latest regional and international trends, as well as industry activities, to promote business continuity and drive improvements.
• Contribute to the development of high-performance web solutions within agile and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science
• 3+ years' experience in frontend development, experience in e-commerce is preferrable
• Proficiency in developing object-oriented web applications using TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, with hands-on experience in modern web frameworks such as AngularJS and ReactJS.
• Proficient in developing cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android using React.js, Ionic, and Capacitor frameworks.
• Proficiency in End-to-end automation testing like Cypress/Playwright, unit test using JEST and the React testing library.
