About This Role
Duties & Responsibilities:

Support the Flight Simulator Training Devices and Cabin Crew Training Devices: Attend maintenance calls, device setup, conversions and demos, assist during SFTs / PVCs, perform snag clearance, etc…

Independently perform the Preventive Maintenance Tasks (PMTs) and Daily Readiness (DR) on the training devices and associated systems. Ensure that PMTs are carried out according to the standards, and signed off. Ensure that PMT raised deficiencies are followed up, actioned, and closed in a timely manner.

Run recurrent QTGs. Perform low level troubleshooting of issues on the training devices, using schematics, and aircraft/device system documentation. Make use of the Maintenance Management System to record, track, and review all maintenance activities. Plan, supervise, and create reports for routine technical tasks.

Provide On the Job Training of Simulator Technicians I, and Simulator Technical Assistants. Create, improve and update procedures and guidelines for routine technical tasks.

Assist with recurrent updates of Nav DB, Terr DB, OIS & EFB Charts, Documents, and Perf Data, as well as IOS Lesson Plan uploads, and troubleshooting. Keep the associated records up to date and available at all times.

Accountable to maintain, keep track, and request consumable items and tools required to perform the Preventive Maintenance Tasks and Daily Readiness.

Support logistics duties, including yearly inventories, re-arrangement of stores, packing, preparation for shipping, etc… Perform housekeeping functions, administrative functions, and other tasks to support the technical services group, as reasonably required.

Comply with local & global CAE Environmental Health & Safety standards, instructions, and safe working procedures. Exercise duty of care for own H&S, and that of others who may be affected by his/her work.
Other Job-Related Skills/Background:

Technical College Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical or Aviation Field and at least 3-5 years of related work experience.

Good knowledge of the English Language, both spoken and written.

Highly engaged and motivated individual.

Customer oriented, and must be able to deal tactfully in sensitive situations.

Good workmanship and strong contributor within a team environment.

Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work under minimal supervision.

Able to work flexible shifts, and adapt to changing work schedules and shift patterns.

Suitable understanding of aircraft terminology and simulation training devices.

Able to interpret schematics and other technical documents pertaining to simulation training devices.

Able to perform Preventive Maintenance Tasks and Daily Readiness on simulation training devices.

Must possess adequate troubleshooting skills of Electronic, Electric, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic systems.

Able to provide On the Job Training to Junior Technicians.

Able to use test equipment efficiently, and safely.

Good computer skills with knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc…)

Basic knowledge of computer networking.
