The Housekeeping Assistant provides cleaning services to maintain a safe, sanitary, comfortable, and homelike environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This role supports infection control, survey readiness, and quality of life for residents.
- Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily per facility standards.
- Perform terminal cleaning of resident rooms as needed.
- Clean windows, walls, ceilings, floors, and furniture according to schedules.
- Handle and dispose of waste, including biohazardous waste, per facility procedures.
- Monitor for pests and report concerns to supervisor.
- Assist with emergency cleaning tasks and survey preparation.
- Knowledge of infection control and housekeeping standards.
- Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Respect for resident dignity and privacy.
- Functional literacy and ability to follow instructions.
- Prior housekeeping experience in healthcare or hospitality.
Standing/walking for most of shift; frequent bending and lifting (5

- Ability to push housekeeping carts (up to 300 lbs with assistance).
