FT long term nanny

*The family is open to have 2 part time nannies if these hours are too long for you*

age of children: 3.5 years old and 8 weeks at start

Ideal candidate:

- Experience with infants and toddlers (including bottle feeding and transition to solid foods, nap schedules, potty training, etc.)

- Willing and able to provide sick care

- Good driver (prefer nanny uses their car but not required)

- Use non-punitive approaches to discipline (setting firm boundaries and redirecting without resorting to time-outs or punishments)

- Good communicator with parents

- Professionalism (punctual, limiting unexpected absences, coordinating PTO with parents in advance)

- Comfortable with parents working from home (mom works from home full time, dad works from home 2 days/week)

- Interested in engaging in physically active play (older son loves playing baseball/basketball in back yard)

- Mom works from home FT and dad 2 days per week. Mom will transition back to working in May as maternity leave wraps up.

- They are currently house hunting in the Chevy Chase DC neighborhood, and there is potential they may move in the spring/summer if they find a house

Duties:

- Get oldest ready for preschool (half day), including packing lunch and school drop off/pickup

- Caring for infant and engaging in developmentally appropriate activities

- Caring for oldest in afternoons or all day when school closed or unable to attend

- Keep children's areas tidy and organized

- Children's laundry (clothing and linens)

- Wash/sanitize baby bottles

*Interest in occasional evening/weekend babysitting, and rare overnight care are desirable, but not required*

*Family is also open to nanny/house manager role with expanded responsibilities for interested candidates*

*Must be willing to get annual flu vaccine and must be up to date on TDAP vaccine. Annual COVID-19 booster is preferred, but not required.

To be considered, applicants

1. must be legally authorized to work in the US and provide a social security number for a background check (through secured website for protection)

2. have 3 child related references to provide that can attest to you ability with young children under the age of 5

3. provide proof of CPR completion

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
