Fuel Injection Technician

Position Summary-:

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Fuel Injection Technician, based in Abu Dhabi. The technician will perform diagnostics, repair, calibration, and maintenance of diesel fuel injection systems, ensuring they operate efficiently. Daily tasks include inspecting, troubleshooting, identifying issues, and replacing or reconditioning components as needed. In this role, you will work closely with a team of professionals to meet high-quality service standards while adhering to safety protocols and industry regulations.

Duties and responsibilities-:

Fuel Injection Pump & Injector Overhauling

·Diagnose, dismantle, repair, and overhaul diesel fuel injection pumps and injectors (inline, rotary, common rail).

Perform calibration, testing, and fine adjustments as per manufacturer specifications.

Ensure accuracy in fuel delivery, timing, and pressure settings.

Diagnostics & Troubleshooting – 20%

• Identify faults related to fuel systems such as hard starting, power loss, excessive smoke, and poor fuel efficiency.
• Use diagnostic tools, test benches, and pressure gauges to analyze system performance.
• Provide root cause analysis and corrective action.

Installation, Testing & Commissioning

· Install repaired or new fuel injection pumps and injectors on engines.

Conduct post-repair testing and engine performance checks.

Ensure proper alignment, timing, and leak-free operation.

Preventive Maintenance & Quality Control

· Carry out preventive maintenance as per service schedules.

· Maintain cleanliness, precision, and safety standards in the workshop.

Follow quality control procedures to ensure reliability and durability of repairs.

Documentation, Safety & Team Coordination

·Prepare job cards, service reports, and parts usage records.

·Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and company SOPs.

Coordinate with supervisors, mechanics, and spare parts teams for smooth workflow.

Qualifications & Skills-:

· ITI / Diploma in Diesel Mechanic, Automobile Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering

· Certification in Fuel Injection Systems will be an added advantage

· Strong knowledge of diesel fuel injection systems (mechanical & electronic)

· Experience with Bosch, Denso, Delphi, or equivalent systems

· Proficiency in using fuel injection test benches and calibration tools

· Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams

· Quality-focused, detail-oriented, and safety conscious

. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Expert-level knowledge of common rail injector systems (high-pressure fuel systems, sensors, actuators, ECUs).

· Strong understanding of mechanical injector systems (e.g., unit injectors, pump-line-nozzle systems).

· Proficient in reading technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.

. Familiarity with industry test benches and diagnostic tools.
