- Code transactions, book journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Assist customers with their accounts payable
- Assist customers with their accounts receivable
- Calculate and file 1099s for customers
- Prepare, review and remit sales and use taxes as applicable
What you need to succeed:
- Align with our core values
- Highly organized
- You can deliver spectacular customer service, you have great communication skills and you are able to easily explain difficult concepts
- You have at least 5 years of bookkeeping experience in a bookkeeping or public accounting firm
- Deep understanding and experience with construction and trades-related accounting
- Tech-savvy and proficient in QuickBooks Online and other bookkeeping apps, particularly as it pertains to project management and billing.
- You're currently a QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor.
- Skilled problem solver with strong attention to detail
- Effective communicator through video platforms like Zoom and Loom
- Experience with a practice management system, like Karbon
- Ability to attend one 30-minute team meeting per week

What you can expect from the hiring process:
- Provide a copy of your resume
- Connect with Chris Hervochon on LinkedIn. Please note, candidates that skip this step will not be considered.
- If your background and experience appear to be a fit, we will invite you to complete two skills assessments. The assessments will take about 30 minutes to complete and you will be compensated $25 if you complete them.
- Interview with the owner of the firm. Learn about the firm and make sure we’re a good fit! We’ll ask questions about you, your work experience, your bona fides, and may even throw in some technical questions. You’ll then have a chance to ask any questions you may have – so be sure to have some ready!
- Complete a Kolbe personality assessment (to make sure the firm and the role are a good fit).
- Provide 3 professional references (so we can check all the boxes).
- Pass a background check.
- If you're a good fit, you will meet with the owner of the firm to receive an offer and to learn about the particulars of the role and the firm.
- An intentional onboarding and orientation process to learn how and why we do what we do.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Projected Total Compensation: $800.00 - $1,200.00 per month
