Full-Stack Developer

As a Full-Stack Developer at CodeEnlight, you’ll be integral to the success of the project, working with our project managers, designers and production team to implement a wide range of functionality. Projects involve working with frameworks like Laravel, Vue, React and platforms like WordPress, Shopify and Magento, to name a few.

We consider CodeEnlight to be a serious learning environment, but you’ll need to hit the ground running and be able to demonstrate significant skill on the first day.

A Typical Week

• You'll brainstorm with Product Managers and Designers to conceptualize new features
• You'll collaborate with Application Engineering to build new features for our large-and-growing user base
• You'll learn about new web technologies and discuss potential solutions to problems
• You'll help our skilled support team triage bugs and troubleshoot production issues
• You'll mentor other engineers and deeply review code

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.
• 4+ years web development experience
• Expert knowledge of standards-compliant HTML5 & CSS2/3, JavaScript/ES6 and Responsive (RWD) techniques and methods
• Experience with PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel)
• Experience with Progressive JavaScript frameworks (Vue, React, etc.)
• Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress)
• Proficiency with Photoshop, Sketch and/or Figma
• Experience with front-end development frameworks
• Experience with API integration (e.g., REST, GraphQL)
• Experience with version control workflows and tools (preferably Git)
• Interest in emerging technologies (AR, VR, proximity beacons, etc.)
• Understanding of onsite SEO and content hierarchy
• Understanding of web accessibility
• Understanding browser quality assurance
• Ability to work well with others
• Self-starter tendencies (especially important if you’re out of the area)
• Ability to handle multiple projects
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and empathy
• Self-awareness and a desire to continually improve

Bonus Points

• Experience with Quasar Framework, Handlebars, or LESS
• Experience investigating and improving JavaScript performance
• Experience with WebSockets, Local Storage, or ES6
• Experience in small startup environments
