Full-Stack Developer (In Person)

Avantera Capital is an asset management firm specializing in algorithmic and automated trading across currencies, crypto, stocks, options, commodities, and indices. We build data-driven, AI-powered investment strategies, and engineering sits at the core of what we do.

We're hiring a Full-Stack Python Developer for an on-site contract role in Dubai (2–3 days per week on-site). This is an hourly, ongoing engagement — ideal for a skilled freelancer. You'll help build and maintain the data and trading infrastructure behind our automated investment platform, spanning data pipelines, backend APIs, databases, and web applications.

What you'll work on:

- Maintain and improve Python data pipelines that collect market data and load it into PostgreSQL and AWS S3

- Build and maintain backend services and REST APIs (Django, FastAPI) and internal dashboards (Streamlit)

- Integrate brokerage and financial APIs (Schwab, IBKR), including authentication/token flows, using FIX and REST APIs

- Administer Linux servers — managing services, scheduled jobs, deployments, and recovery

- Configure and maintain Nginx, SSL, and service routing

- Ensure reliable, secure handling of financial data across the stack

Requirements:
- You must hold a valid UAE freelance permit or have the right to work on-site

- Strong Python and full-stack web development experience

- Solid SQL and PostgreSQL skills

- Hands-on experience with REST APIs (FIX is a strong plus)

- AWS experience, especially S3

- Linux server and database administration

- Solid understanding of financial data processing and integration

Preferred:

- Familiarity with AI coding tools (Claude, Codex)

- Brokerage/financial API experience — Interactive Brokers (IBKR) and Charles Schwab

- Django, FastAPI, or Streamlit

- Nginx, DevOps, and data-pipeline/ETL experience

Compensation: AED 100–180 per hour, based on experience.

You must be based in Dubai or able to be on-site 2–3 days per week.

Pay: AED100.00 - AED180.00 per hour
