Full Stack Developer (Node.js / React / GraphQL)

Location: Karachi, Pakistan (On-site)

About the Role:

Market Cube is looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to join our growing engineering team in Karachi. This is a hands-on role where you'll design, build and maintain scalable applications across multiple products, working with modern technologies including Node.js, React, GraphQL and Shopify.

You'll work closely with the product and engineering teams to deliver high-quality software, solve complex technical challenges, and help mentor other developers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js.
• Build modern, responsive web applications using React.
• Develop and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Build and support Shopify integrations using the GraphQL Admin API, Webhooks, App Bridge and Polaris.
• Develop business-critical functionality, including commission calculations, order splitting and payout logic, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
• Contribute to multiple products across the Market Cube portfolio as business priorities evolve.
• Troubleshoot production issues, resolve bugs, optimise application performance and investigate data-related problems.
• Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
• Mentor and support mid-level software engineers.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' professional software development experience.
• Strong commercial experience with Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Strong experience building applications with React.
• Experience designing and optimising PostgreSQL or MySQL databases, including schema design, indexing and query optimisation.
• Experience developing REST APIs, GraphQL APIs, webhooks and asynchronous processing/queues.
• Experience working across multiple applications, codebases or products.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a cross-functional team.

Desirable Skills

• Shopify app development experience.
• E-commerce or multi-tenant SaaS experience.
• Experience with AWS.
• Docker and containerised application development.
• CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment practices.
