Full-Stack Software Engineer – Bahrain – Tech Start-up

Join a fast-growing tech start-up building digital products that make a real impact across the Middle East. As a Full-Stack Software Engineer, you’ll help design, build, and scale a modern platform that’s redefining how users access everyday services.

The Role

You’ll work closely with product and engineering leaders to turn ambitious ideas into reality. This is a hands-on, end-to-end role spanning front-end and back-end development, third-party integrations, and cloud infrastructure. You’ll help define architecture, drive best practices, and contribute directly to product growth and user experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Building and maintaining responsive web applications for users and internal teams.
• Developing APIs and integrating external services such as messaging, identity, and loyalty systems.
• Creating dashboards and workflows using low-code tools like Retool or similar.
• Implementing secure, scalable, and maintainable architecture across the full stack.
• Owning CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployment, and infrastructure reliability.
• Collaborating with product and leadership teams to deliver new features and experiences.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Solid experience in professional full-stack development.
• Proficiency with React, Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL (plus familiarity with NoSQL).
• Strong understanding of REST/GraphQL APIs and microservice architecture.
• A problem-solver with curiosity and a desire to learn fast.
• Excellent communication skills; Arabic language ability is a plus.

Bonus points for:

• Experience in consumer-facing or subscription-based digital products.
• Familiarity with messaging APIs (Infobip, Twilio, Sinch) or similar integrations.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and DevOps practices.
• Experience with low-code or internal tooling platforms.
