Full Stack Software Engineer

Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct a search for an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer for our client, a nonprofit technology company out of New York! This contract to hire opportunity offers a hybrid schedule in Midtown Manhattan. Exceptional remote candidates will be considered.

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will leverage your expertise to architect and build robust microservices, develop engaging front-end experiences with React and Next.js, and deploy seamless solutions on AWS infrastructure.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain scalable full-stack applications using React, Next.js, and Node.js
• Build and optimize GraphQL APIs to connect frontend and backend services efficiently
• Collaborate on designing and implementing microservices architecture within AWS cloud infrastructure
• Manage deployment pipelines and ensure system performance, scalability, and security
• Integrate third-party tools (e.g., Algolia, Cognito) and leverage AI-assisted development for rapid prototyping

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience with full-stack JavaScript development, especially React, Next.js, and Node.js
• Strong understanding of GraphQL, microservices architecture, and cloud environments like AWS
• Hands-on experience with relational databases such as Aurora MySQL
• Skilled in API integration, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and deployment automation
• Experience with serverless architectures and AWS services like Lambda, SNS, and SQS a plus
• Prior work with search services like Algolia or headless CMS platforms such as Sanity or Strapi a plus

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
