About the Role

Symufolk is building advanced AI-driven platforms that transform real-world data into structured, intelligent systems. As a Full-Stack Software Engineer, you will play a key role in developing scalable web applications that power machine learning workflows, human-in-the-loop systems, and complex data visualization tools.

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy building interactive products at the intersection of AI, data systems, and modern software engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality front-end applications using React and TypeScript.
• Build robust backend services for AI and ML workflows using Python, Node.js, or similar technologies.
• Develop and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Integrate third-party tools and services for data processing and annotation.
• Optimize system performance for large datasets and long-running processes.
• Collaborate closely with AI/ML engineers and product teams on feature design and implementation.
• Participate in system architecture discussions and code reviews.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and maintainability of the platform.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of professional experience in full-stack software development.
• Strong experience with React and TypeScript.
• Backend development experience using Python, Node.js, or similar.
• Experience building data-heavy or media-heavy applications.
• Solid understanding of RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Familiarity with modern development workflows and version control systems.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in a collaborative team environment.

Nice to Have (Preferred Skills)

• Experience with video processing, visualization systems, or streaming pipelines.
• Familiarity with machine learning workflows or annotation tools.
• Experience building internal tools or productivity platforms.
• Interest in AI, robotics, computer vision, or applied ML systems.
• Exposure to cloud platforms and scalable system design.
