Join Gadobo as a Freelance Full-Stack Web Developer

Gadobo is an early-stage travel tech startup building a peer-to-peer marketplace for buying and selling non-refundable-airline-tickets, hotel bookings, and travel packages. We are looking for a seasoned Full-Stack Web Developer with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience, based in Cairo, Egypt.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the web platform using Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Design and manage relational database schemas in PostgreSQL, including migrations and query optimization.
• Integrate third-party APIs including Stripe Connect for escrow and marketplace payments, travel data providers, and transactional email and SMS services.
• Build and maintain secure user authentication, role-based authorization, and session management.
• Implement core marketplace mechanics including auction bidding logic, escrow release workflows, and booking transfer flows.
• Build admin dashboards for listings management, transaction monitoring, and analytics.
• Enforce secure coding standards compliant with GDPR and PCI DSS requirements.
• Work directly with the founding team to translate product requirements into shipped features.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional full-stack development experience, with demonstrated delivery on marketplace or MVP-stage products.
• 5+ years of hands-on proficiency in Next.js and React, including App Router, server components, and data fetching patterns.
• Proven backend experience with Node.js and RESTful API design, including validation, error handling, and middleware.
• Strong command of PostgreSQL, including schema design, indexing, and ACID-compliant transactions.
• Demonstrated experience integrating Stripe Connect or equivalent payment gateway for multi-party payouts and escrow.
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment (AWS, Vercel, or Railway).
• Working knowledge of GDPR compliance requirements and secure coding practices.
• Ability to work independently, manage delivery timelines, and take full ownership of features.
