Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) of 5-10 years experience to join our team. The candidate must possess a strong understanding of taxation and accounting principles. This position will play a crucial role in preparing tax returns, tax planning, financial reporting and analysis.
Candidates should not have a tax/accounting practice of their own.
Duties
- Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, gift, and trust tax returns.
- Perform general accounting tasks, as needed.
- Call tax agencies as needed
- Mentor junior staff members in tax and accounting practices and software usage.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, and Microsoft Excel for efficient financial operations.
Skills
- Proficient in double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits and payroll processing.
- Demonstrated ability in financial analysis, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, journal entries preparation, and financial statement preparation.
- Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and report presentation.
- Solid understanding of financial concepts, including private equity management and accrual accounting principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating a strong independent work ethic.
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
