Full Time Custodian

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, including both routine cleaning and specialized tasks.

Duties

• Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
• Conduct industrial cleaning duties as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Execute floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to enhance the appearance of surfaces.
• Maintain restroom facilities by cleaning and restocking supplies regularly.
• Assist with residential painting projects when necessary to support facility upkeep.
• Carry out commercial cleaning tasks in various settings, ensuring high standards of hygiene are met.
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly.
• Act as a porter when required, assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment during events or maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Boiler License preferred but not required.
• Previous experience in custodial or industrial cleaning roles is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain cleanliness standards consistently.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork and customer service.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting and moving objects as needed.

Hours

Monday - Friday 8 hour midmorning to early evening shift Exact hours to be determined

Additional hours may be available.
