Assistant, Associate, Full Professor
Successful candidates are expected to:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Computer Engineering and Information Engineering, including but not limited to:
- Computer Architecture and Advanced Computer Systems
- Digital Systems Design
- Embedded Systems and Real-Time Systems
- Operating Systems and Systems Programming
- Software Engineering
- Algorithms Design and Analysis
- Cybersecurity
- Machine Learning
- Neural Networks and Deep Learning
- Artificial Intelligence
- Computer Vision
- Cloud Computing and Distributed Systems
- Big Data Analytics and Data-Intensive Computing
- Intelligent and Data-Driven Computing Systems
- Hardware–Software Co-Design and System Integration
- Develop, sustain, and lead an active, externally funded research program in one or more areas aligned with the Computer Engineering track, such as:
- Intelligent and data-driven systems
- Machine learning applications and AI-enabled systems
- Cloud, distributed, and high-performance computing
- Embedded and real-time computing systems
- Data-centric and large-scale computing architectures
- Publish research outcomes in high-impact, peer-reviewed international journals and conferences.
- Supervise undergraduate capstone projects as well as Master’s and PhD students.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of the Communications and Computer Engineering (CCE) program, particularly the Computer Engineering concentration.
- Participate in interdisciplinary research initiatives and collaborative projects with industry, national laboratories, and international research institutions.
- Support innovation, technology transfer, and entrepreneurship activities, including applied research and industry-driven projects.
- Provide academic and institutional service at the program, school, and university levels.
Applicants should have:
- A PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Engineering, or a closely related Engineering field from a highly reputable institution.
- A strong academic background and established research profile in computer engineering and/or information engineering related areas.
- Demonstrated ability to teach effectively in English at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Proven experience with modern engineering education methodologies, including project-based learning and laboratory-centered instruction.
- A strong record of high-quality research publications and graduate student supervision.
- Demonstrated success in applying for and securing national and/or international research funding.
- Industry experience in computer systems, embedded systems, networking, cybersecurity, or related domains, with the ability to foster applied research, innovation, and technology transfer.
- Familiarity with national and international accreditation standards (ABET or equivalent).
- Experience in establishing and developing research laboratories, research groups, or research tracks.
- Experience in curriculum design and development, particularly for computer engineering and systems-oriented programs.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
