Full Time Infant Teacher

The Hockomock Area YMCA is seeking a caring, creative, and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our Franklin Childcare Center. Infant Teachers play an important role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. Candidates must be available Monday–Friday for 8-hour shifts scheduled between the hours of 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

Essential Functions

• Supervise and guide infants throughout daily activities and routines
• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
• Support children’s developmental and social-emotional growth
• Implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum
• Partner with parents and guardians through daily communication
• Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and safety standards
• Participate in staff meetings, family events, and YMCA community events
• Follow all YMCA policies, health and safety procedures, and EEC regulations

• EEC Teacher Certification required
• Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
• At least 1 year of teaching experience preferred
• Passion for working with young children and supporting their development
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Dependable, positive, and team-oriented approach
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced childcare environment
