Duties

  • Lead daily classroom activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development in young children
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods
  • Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children’s progress and address individual needs, including special education and early intervention requirements
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that supports learning and child welfare
  • Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor developmental milestones and tailor instruction accordingly
  • Engage in ongoing lesson planning to ensure diverse learning experiences that foster curiosity and growth

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings with classroom experience in early childhood education
  • Knowledge of curriculum development, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies
  • Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and literacy education methodologies
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and children
  • Understanding of childhood development principles and best practices in toddler care and preschool education
  • Ability to plan lessons that incorporate Montessori principles or other educational frameworks like math integration or physical education
  • Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; experience with standardized testing and tutoring is a plus
