Full Time Live Out Nanny for Two Young Children in San Diego, CA!

A kind and busy family of four is looking for a new full-time nanny for their two young children in the Vista area of San Diego beginning this month! Please see the details below and be sure to read them in full.

Start Date: Mid-April (with a bit of flexibility)

Location: Vista 92084 in North San Diego County. (Oceanside and Carlsbad)

Parents: WFH parents (Mom works from home and is around and dad is a business owner who works from a detached office on the property but does come in throughout the day.)

Children: One 6-week-old baby girl and one nearly 2-year-old boy

Pets: Toy poodle (no job duties, he is very barky. Might occasionally need to be let out.)

Guaranteed Schedule: M-F 7am-3pm with flexibility to stay until 4 at times

Longevity: Long term (please have a solid track record of reliability with past positions)

Pay: $30 per hour

Requirements:

• 5 years professional experience working with young children/infants since the age of 18 with verifiable references
• Legal authorization to work in the US
• Fluent English speaker
• Current CPR/FA certification from an in-person course
• Clean criminal background (willing to undergo an extensive background check and register with Trustline)
• Squeaky clean driving record (family car provided for driving the children and if using your vehicle for errands, the family will pay IRS mileage rate.)

Personality/Vibe: The ideal person for this family will be detail oriented and tidy, someone who follows instructions well and is adaptable to a system already in place. The family is looking for a nanny with solid moral values who is easy going, sweet, really loves kids, silly, fun, engaging, goofy and energetic (think dance parties and light rough housing), but also comfortable, nurturing, and warm with the baby. Some receptive to respectful feedback who is willing to work as a team and who is self-motivated and able to manage themselves once they have learned the ropes.

Duties: This is a collaborative environment. The children and their care will always come first. Actively engaging with the children, taking the older child out to library, beach, parks will be a big part of this position. If both kids are sleeping and you have had your break, the family asks for help with:

• Light meal prep (prepare/freeze toddler snacks/meals, boil eggs, chop vegetables, that sort of thing)
• Child laundry
• Errand running/grocery shopping
• Unloading/loading the dishwasher
• Tidying up the kitchen/child areas
• Breaking down boxes

Travel: Potential travel in the future (passport a plus)
