This warm, dynamic, and thoughtful family is seeking a dependable, adaptable, and nurturing nanny to support their infant daughter as they settle into their new home in beautiful Cold Spring Harbor, New York.

Their infant daughter, born prematurely earlier this year, is incredibly strong and thriving. Her care will be the primary focus of this position, and the family is looking for someone who will partner closely with them in supporting her continued development, milestones, and daily routines.

The family also has a vibrant and much-loved 12-year-old daughter who is on the autism spectrum and functions at a high level. While direct care responsibilities for her are not anticipated, familiarity with the autism spectrum and a patient, understanding, and respectful approach are highly valued.

Both parents work in the technology industry and bring a curious, engaged, and adventurous energy to their family life. They enjoy travel, live music, outdoor activities, and spending meaningful time together. Their home is active, welcoming, and full of personality—including their friendly Bernedoodle, who is an important member of the family.

The ideal nanny is calm, dependable, organized, and confident working independently. Someone who is flexible, emotionally intelligent, and able to adapt to the evolving needs of a busy household will thrive in this role. The family is seeking a true partner—someone who values open communication, mutual respect, and collaboration while being comfortable taking initiative and managing responsibilities autonomously.

While the role will begin with a strong focus on infant care, the family anticipates that it will gradually evolve to include additional household support responsibilities, including:

• Light meal preparation
• Family laundry
• Tidying and organizing common living spaces
• Running occasional errands
• Appointment support and scheduling assistance
• General household management tasks

There may also be opportunities to travel with the family throughout the year.

Commitment

The family can guarantee a minimum one-year commitment, with the expectation and hope that the position will continue for longer. They are seeking someone interested in building a meaningful, long-term relationship with their family as they establish roots in Cold Spring Harbor.

Schedule

Monday–Friday

Nanny Position

• 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Nanny-House Manager Position

• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

45 guaranteed hours per week, including 5 hours of overtime.

Compensation & Benefits

• $27–$30+/hour depending on experience, qualifications, and scope of responsibilities
• Guaranteed 45 hours per week (including overtime)
• Minimum six-month commitment guaranteed
• 5 PTO days annually
• Additional paid time off when the family is traveling or care is not needed
• 5 paid sick days annually
• Monthly health insurance stipend (or equivalent cash stipend if coverage is not needed)
• Relocation assistance available for the right candidate
