Full-Time Nanny Dix Hills

A warm family in Dix Hills is seeking a reliable, proactive nanny / mother’s helper to assist with their two young sons. Mom is home most of the time caring for the baby and is looking for a supportive caregiver who can confidently help manage the household and step in with the children when needed.

The role will involve a combination of childcare and light household support , particularly during times when the toddler is at preschool or the baby is napping. The family is looking for someone energetic, organized, and proactive who enjoys staying busy and contributing to the household.

The toddler attends a local preschool three mornings per week , and both children follow consistent daily routines.

Nanny must be comfortable caring for both children independently when needed. While mom is home and very involved, the nanny should be fully capable of managing both children on her own. Strong infant and toddler experience is required, with references that can confirm this experience.

This is a long-term position.

Responsibilities

• Engaging with the toddler through play, outdoor time, and activities
• Assisting mom with care for the infant when needed
• Supporting nap routines and daily schedules
• Planning fun, developmentally appropriate activities (crafts, play, etc.)
• Preparing simple meals and snacks for the children
• Cutting fruit/vegetables and helping with basic meal prep
• Light household tasks during downtime such as:
• Tidying common areas
• Loading/unloading dishwasher
• Wiping counters
• Vacuuming family spaces
• Children’s laundry

Childcare is always the priority when children are home.

Requirements

✔️ Organized and proactive in helping around the home
