Postpartum Doula

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Postpartum Doula to provide vital support to new families during the postpartum period. In this role, you will offer physical, emotional, and practical assistance to help parents adjust to life with a newborn. Your expertise will foster a nurturing environment, promote infant well-being, and empower families with the confidence and skills they need during this transformative time. Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on infant care, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and monitoring newborn health.
• Support parents with breastfeeding guidance and postpartum recovery tips.
• Assist with light household tasks such as cleaning, meal preparation, and organizing baby supplies to create a comfortable environment.
• Educate parents on child development, safety practices, and caregiving techniques tailored to infants and toddlers.
• Offer emotional reassurance and active listening to help families navigate the challenges of new parenthood.
• Work with children of various ages, including preschoolers and toddlers, providing age-appropriate activities and supervision.
• Collaborate with families to develop personalized care routines that meet their unique needs and preferences.

Experience

• Doula certification required
• Knowledge of infant care practices, including feeding (breastfeeding or bottle-feeding), diapering, and sleep routines.
• Familiarity with postpartum recovery processes and emotional support strategies for new parents.
• Certification or training in first aid is preferred to ensure safety in emergency situations.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
• Ability to handle cleaning tasks efficiently while maintaining a nurturing attitude.

Pay: $23.95 - $28.84 per hour
