Full-Time Nanny Needed – Floyds Knobs, IN

A warm and welcoming family in Floyds Knobs is seeking a dedicated, full-time nanny to care for their two young boys, ages 2.5 years and 3 months. This role is unique in that the nanny will work collaboratively with their hands-on father, who is transitioning into a stay-at-home role. The ideal candidate is nurturing, proactive, and thrives in a team-oriented household.

The position is five days per week, with a consistent schedule of 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, totaling 40 hours per week. The busiest part of the day is typically between 5:00 PM and bedtime, when additional support is most needed.

Compensation ranges from $25–$30 per hour, depending on experience, and includes 10 days of PTO and 5 sick days. The nanny should be open to traveling with the family on occasion; all travel accommodations and incidentals will be covered.

Responsibilities include providing attentive and loving care for both children, including diapering, bottle feeding (breastmilk and/or formula), and general infant care. The nanny will support established nap routines, with the toddler napping approximately 2.5 hours per day while the infant is not yet on a set schedule. The role also involves engaging the children in age-appropriate play and developmental activities, facilitating one-on-one time with each child, and accompanying them on outings such as trips to the park.

A key aspect of this role is working closely with the father in a collaborative, team-based environment. The nanny should be comfortable alternating responsibilities throughout the day and stepping in to independently care for one child while dad spends one-on-one time with the other, and vice versa.

The 2.5-year-old has severe food allergies and carries an EpiPen. Prior experience caring for children with food allergies is required, along with strict attention to avoiding peanuts and preventing cross-contamination.

Qualifications:The ideal candidate will be CPR certified, a non-smoker, and have prior experience caring for infants and toddlers. Experience managing food allergies and EpiPen use is required. The nanny should be dependable, communicative, safety-conscious, and confident working both independently and alongside a parent.
