Full-time Nanny/Family Assistant Needed in Belmont CA

Position Overview:

The family from Belmont is seeking a caring, responsible, and organized full-time Nanny/Family Assistant who will primarily focus on providing exceptional care for their 2-month-old daughter while also assisting with light family duties during downtime.

The ideal candidate will be nurturing, passionate about child development, and proactive in communicating with the parents. The nanny should be able to form a strong bond with the child, ensuring she thrives in a loving and structured environment. The role also includes family assistant responsibilities such as light household chores, meal prepping, and organizing.

This position is long-term and we are only considering candidates for a W2 (payroll) engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Childcare Duties (Primary Focus):
    • Childcare: Provide full-time care for the baby during the daytime, including feeding, dressing, bathing, and assisting with potty training.
    • Naptime: Help with getting the baby ready for her naps.
    • Age-Appropriate Activities: Plan and engage in developmentally appropriate activities throughout the day.
    • Baby-Related Household Tasks: Handle baby laundry, bottle washing, food preparation, and maintain a tidy, organized nursery.
    • Communication: Provide daily written and verbal updates on the baby’s activities, well-being, and any important observations.
  • Family Assistant Duties (Secondary Focus):
    • Laundry: Assist with family laundry as needed.
    • Organization: Help with organizing spaces and maintaining household order.
    • Meal Prep & Grocery Shopping: Support meal prepping and grocery shopping for the family’s gluten-free diet.
    • Home Maintenance: Assist with light home maintenance tasks (no deep cleaning required).

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of paid/professional Nannying Newborn/Infant experience
  • Fluent in English (Mandarin-speaking is a plus but not required).
  • Must be able to lift and care for infants and perform light household tasks.
  • Ability to adjust start and end times when needed. Willingness to assist during periods when dad is traveling.
  • Long-term availability
  • The family maintains a gluten-free household and prefers someone who is familiar with or open to accommodating this dietary requirement.
  • Deep cleaning tasks are not required as the family has help with housekeeping.
  • CPR & First Aid Certification
  • Must pass a background check
  • Proof of immunizations is required, including a negative TB test, Tdap, MMR, Recent flu vaccine, and COVID vaccination & Boosters.

Benefits:
  • Guaranteed hours for 40 hours/week
  • 1.5x overtime after 40hr/week or 9hr/day.
  • Paid sick leave accrues at a rate of 40 hours per year, capped at 80 hours.
  • 10 federal holidays a year
  • 2 weeks of paid time off
