Responsibilities

Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for children

Create a safe and nurturing learning environment

Supervise children during activities and ensure their safety

Conduct systematic observations and evaluations of each child's progress

Cultivate positive relationships with children and parents

Maintain program site and equipment
-
Attend and participate in family nights, program activities, and staff meetings

Adhere to state guidelines and childcare regulations
Qualifications
-
CDA, Associates, or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
-
Experience working in a licensed childcare center (1-2 years preferred)
-
CPR, First Aid, AED certifications, and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire

Strong knowledge of child development principles and educational practices

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively with diverse populations

Dependability, adaptability, and teamwork skills
Physical Requirements

Ability to plan, lead, and participate in activities

Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. for child safety and potential emergency situations

Ability to handle stressful situations professionally while multitasking
