Responsibilities Include
Leading classroom activities and achieving specific child development outcomes.
Maintaining Board of Health and State Licensing regulation for proper care, safety and program delivery for the children in your care.
Modeling appropriate behavior and implementing positive discipline techniques when interacting with the children. Corporal punishment and/or harsh, humiliating treatment are prohibited.
Keeping current records for assessment of each child's development.
Maintaining proper documentation of attendance, medicines, injuries, etc.
Planning and implementing daily/weekly activities and plan that follow developmentally appropriate guidelines for a particular age group. These plans should be turned in to the office in a timely manner and in advance.
Greeting parents and children each day and helping with transitions whenever needed.
Keeping communication and relations with parents positive and professional.
Completing 30 hours of in-service training each year.
Maintaining a professional persona always assisting with center, community, and professional relations.
