Full-Time Travel Household Manager/Nanny Texas & Washington, DC | High-Profile Family

Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

Caring For: Two toddlers

Compensation: Up to $40/hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications

Description:

A prominent family with two toddlers is seeking a seasoned and highly discreet Travel Household Manager/Nanny to provide exceptional support across their residences in DFW, Texas and Washington, DC. This role is best suited for a polished professional who brings a calm, composed presence, exercises sound judgment, and operates with the highest level of confidentiality and discretion.

This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic, politically-engaged household, supporting both the overall flow of the home and the children’s needs with minimal oversight.

Location & Schedule

  • Split residency between Flower Mound, TX and Washington, DC (approximately two weeks in each location, back and forth). Occasionally time will be primarily Texas based.
  • Monday–Friday, 9AM–5PM
  • Guaranteed 40 hours per week
  • Start Date: June 1, 2026
  • Long-term commitment

Compensation & Benefits

  • Up to $40/hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications
  • W-2 employment
  • Two weeks paid vacation annually

Position Scope
This dual-role position requires a thoughtful balance of housekeeping, meal preparation, and childcare depending on the family’s needs. The successful candidate will be highly intuitive, capable of anticipating needs, and adept at maintaining an organized, well-run home environment as their primary role. Childcare will be on an as-needed but semi-regular basis, especially during the DC trips.

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for the children, as needed. The mother is a stay at home parent who values time with her children, so this is on an as-needed basis for assistance.
  • Provide childcare during parental engagements, events, including occasional evenings.
  • Take responsibility of maintaining the presentation of shared living spaces (housekeeping and daily upkeep to keep the house in proper shape)
  • Oversee household errands, including grocery stocking, keeping the cars clean, packages, dry cleaning.
  • Be responsible for daily health-conscious meal preparation.
  • Implement and maintain refined organizational systems to ensure seamless household operations

Travel Requirements

  • Regular travel between Texas and Washington, D.C. (approximately 50% of the time at each location). Some months are only Texas based so this percentage varies.
  • Flexibility and professionalism in adapting to a bi-location lifestyle
  • Room and board are provided while traveling to D.C.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role within high-profile households
  • Demonstrates exceptional discretion, professionalism, and emotional intelligence
  • Self-directed with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Able to integrate seamlessly into the household, offering support with a low-profile, unobtrusive approach.
  • Warm, steady, and dependable care with children. Someone who is attentive to their needs and handles them in a kind manner.
  • Speaks English with the children.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screening
  • Willingness to execute a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
  • Proven track record of maintaining strict confidentiality
  • Alignment with and respect for the family’s values and lifestyle
  • Must be a legal citizen of the United States
  • Must be able to swim.
