Full Time Urgent Care Receptionist- Some Weekends Required

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, providing great customer service while managing various administrative tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our office and supporting the healthcare team in delivering quality service.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing a positive first impression of the office.
  • Answer phone calls and manage inquiries with professionalism.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers.
  • Perform insurance verification and input patient demographics information.
  • Maintain patient records accurately, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Utilize electronic health record system (Athena)
  • Assist in managing office correspondence.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and other communications.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the lobby, reception desk, and employee break area.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a medical office or similar environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical billing processes and insurance verification is a plus.
  • Proficient typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and staff.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems is desirable.
  • 30-34 hours per week, working every other weekend.
