About the Role

As a frontend engineer, you'll help build Agora's core user-facing product. Our vision is to make Agora the go-to app store for software in the agentic future. We're tackling a broad range of problems, from building an interactive research agent for product discovery and evaluation to modeling complex social dynamics at scale to incentivize debate and discourse. This will involve difficult technical challenges such as platform native modules, universally composable React Native components, and real-time ML inference at scale.

Responsibilities

• Completely own full features end-to-end & collaborate with the founders to scope out the problem space

• Own cross‑platform UI features end‑to‑end on iOS, Android, and Web

• Manage our universal frontend stack, from monorepo build tooling to state management and performance monitoring

• Deliver clean, robust, and quality UX without sacrificing on performance

• Flex across the full stack (frontend, backend, infra) to build whatever is necessary to support our customers.

• Design scalable APIs with web server frameworks (in a WinterCG runtime)

• Manage relational database schema and write performant SQL (with ORMs)

• Ship fast.

Requirements

• Deep proficiency with React Native, navigation (Expo Router/React Navigation), and modern state‑management (Tanstack Query)

• Comfort debugging and developing native modules, using profiling tools to achieve smooth UX.

• Experience working with styling systems (Tamagui, Tailwind, or similar) and a passion for visual polish.

• Proven experience shipping production React Native.

Bonus Points

• Previously been a founder or early engineer at a hypergrowth startup.

• Prior work on React Native Universal and/or native mobile products.

• Notable open source contributions.

Compensation Range: $180K - $220K
