Role Purpose

Provide senior assurance leadership over airline engineering and operational activities, ensuring safety-critical processes, maintenance governance, and operational controls are independently reviewed and strengthened.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain risk-based internal audit coverage across aircraft engineering, maintenance, reliability, and operations.
  • Approve audit plans, scopes, methodologies, and final reports related to engineering and operational audits.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of safety management systems, maintenance governance, and operational decision frameworks.
  • Engage with senior engineering and operations leadership on audit outcomes and systemic risk themes.
  • Oversee audits covering CAMO-related processes, maintenance planning, reliability programmers, and operational compliance.
  • Ensure audit conclusions are objective, evidence-based, and aligned with aviation best practice.
  • Escalate material engineering, operational, or safety-related risks to the CAE and ARC.


Experience Requirements

Minimum 15–18 years of progressive experience in airline engineering, operations, or aviation assurance, including senior exposure to maintenance and operational governance.


Qualifications & Certifications

Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent. Professional audit certification (CIA, CFE, or CISA) normally required. Experienced Omani nationals may be appointed without certification subject to completion within 12 months.
