About the Role

We're seeking a sharp, solutions-driven Salesforce Functional Consultant to bring vision to life through architecture, configuration, flow automation, and collaboration. You'll help with discovery, architecture, automation, and be a go-to expert translating business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to optimize the Salesforce ecosystem and drive real impact.

What You'll Do

Gather and Validate Requirements

• Collaborate with stakeholders, end users, and internal teams to gather, validate, and document business requirements.
• Define the minimum viable product (MVP) based on client needs, statements of work (SOW), and discovery meetings.
• Translate Requirements into Actionable Work
• Create and manage user stories and maintain the product backlog.
• Partner with a Project Manager to define timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

Design and Configure Solutions

• Design scalable and maintainable Salesforce architecture, including objects, fields, validation rules, flows, and automation.
• Configure Salesforce components such as Lightning pages, dynamic forms, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and public groups.
• Work collaboratively with internal design and technical teams on architecture and solution ideation.
• Make recommendations based on the latest Salesforce and third-party application capabilities.
• Work with ElevateActual developers to translate business requirements into custom solutions when needed.

Data Management and Migration

• Analyze source system data and create data mapping documents and data dictionaries.
• Transform and migrate data using tools such as Dataloader.io, Workbench, or Apsona, based on customer requirements.

Agile Project Delivery

• Participate in Agile sprints (1–2 weeks) to iteratively deliver solutions.
• Troubleshoot, test, and optimize solutions for performance and scalability.

Continuous Improvement

• Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance user experience, processes, and data integrity.
• Stay current with Salesforce platform updates and best practices to provide forward-thinking recommendations.

What You Bring

Requirements

• Deep Salesforce configuration expertise (object architecture, configuration, Flows).
• Strong understanding of data modeling, security, and automation.
• Flow-first approach to automation complexities.
• A take-initiative mindset: you’re a self starter who sees problems and jumps in to work on solutions.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving chops.
• Salesforce Administrator Certification required
• Higher Education experience is required .

Preferences

• Education Cloud experience is preferred.
• Experience Cloud experience is preferred.
• Additional Salesforce certifications are a big plus.

This is a fully remote position, open to candidates based in the U.S. only (no visa sponsorship available at this time).

While we’re a small firm, we’ve consistently led and delivered large-scale, complex Salesforce projects with confidence and expertise.
