Functional Data Analyst

Job Overview
llama provides Facilities and Real Estate software solutions for organizations that help others. We are seeking a Functional Data Analyst to serve as a key liaison between customers and our internal development team. You'll support the successful implementation of workplace technology solutions through expert data management. In this role, you will collaborate with customers to understand their existing data structures, map that data to standardized templates, and work closely with developers to build, refine, and optimize those templates to support efficient and accurate data loads. You will guide customers through the data preparation process, identifying gaps or inconsistencies and recommending solutions to ensure a smooth implementation experience. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills, a customer-facing mindset, and the ability to translate complex data requirements into clear, actionable deliverables across both technical and non-technical audiences.

What you’ll work on:

  • Define, test, and optimize data templates to support implementations
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and define data translations to support those requirements
  • Create, automate, and manage data transformations to convert data from several sources to a consistent format that supports our implementations
  • Define and manage data collection, transformation, and load schedules throughout multiple implementations
  • Work with our development team to improve and optimize our data technology

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong proficiency in data mapping and data transformation
  • Experience working with structured data tools such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar platforms, including advanced functions, data validation, and manipulation techniques.
  • Solid understanding of data management principles, including data quality, integrity, and best practices for preparing and loading data in the context of software or technology implementations.
  • Excellent customer-facing communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain data requirements and guide non-technical stakeholders through complex processes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal development and implementation teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to identify, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies or inconsistencies under project timelines.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
