Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Fundraising Consultant / Grant Writer with a strong background in U.S. nonprofit fundraising, grant research, proposal development, and donor engagement. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of securing funding from foundations, corporations, government agencies, and philanthropic organizations across the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify grant opportunities from U.S.-based foundations, corporations, and government funding sources.
- Develop, write, and submit compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, concept notes, and funding applications.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather program information, budgets, and supporting documentation.
- Manage grant application timelines and ensure compliance with submission requirements.
- Track grant outcomes, reporting deadlines, and donor communications.
- Support broader fundraising initiatives and donor engagement strategies.
- Maintain a grants calendar and funding pipeline.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in U.S. nonprofit fundraising and grant writing.
- Demonstrated success in securing grants from foundations, corporate donors, philanthropic organizations, and individual donors.
- Strong grant proposal writing, editing, research, and communication skills.
- Experience developing grant budgets, funding narratives, and supporting documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of the U.S. nonprofit funding landscape, including foundation, corporate, and government funding opportunities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and online grant submission platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with nonprofit organizations, NGOs, educational institutions, healthcare organizations, or community development programs.
- Familiarity with CRM and grant management systems such as Salesforce, Bloomerang, DonorPerfect, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of donor stewardship, prospect research, and fundraising strategies.
- Experience securing funding for health, diabetes, community health, immigrant, or underserved population initiatives.
- Existing relationships with U.S.-based foundations, funders, or philanthropic networks are a plus.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 3–5 years of grant writing and nonprofit fundraising experience in the United States.
Location: Remote (U.S.-based candidates preferred).
