Funds Lawyer - Peerpoint Abu Dhabi

Peerpoint is A&O Shearman's global platform for self directed consultant lawyers who want to access the best work, clients, resources and bespoke support, while undertaking assignments of typically six months or more, either within A&O Shearman's practice groups or directly with clients. Assignments based in Abu Dhabi or Dubai are six months in length and full time, with flexible working arrangements allowed.

We are currently looking for lawyers with 5+ years top tier post qualification experience in funds, including drafting and negotiating fund documentation (LPA, PPM, subscription agreements, side letters, management/advisory agreements), advising on GP/LP governance and carry structures, coordinating regulatory approvals with the DFSA, ADGM FSRA, SCA and CBUAE, leading fund closings, assisting on secondary transactions and co investments, and supporting organisations on asset management M&A, carried interest re organisations and incentive schemes.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' post qualification experience at a top tier law firm for funds
• Recent in house legal experience in fund structuring and formation
• Experience in the Middle East and fluency in Arabic
• Desire to take ownership of career and responsibility for professional development and networking
• Consultant mindset, highly professional, flexible and adaptable outlook
• Practical certificate (or equivalent) authorising practice as a lawyer in the UAE
