Position Summary

Senior Consultant

As a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting Services, you will design, develop, and deploy enterprise-scale software solutions, lead the creation of robust pipelines and manage code deployment across environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional, global teams to translate functional requirements into effective deliverables, independently guiding and mentoring junior team members. Your role spans the full project lifecycle, including estimation, planning, execution, and tracking key metrics for analysis, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of solutions.

Work you’ll do:

Essential job requirements include:
  • Analyze client requirements, perform due diligence, and design data solutions to suit client needs
  • Execute data engineering and management engagements to help clients monitor, mitigate, and sustain risks
  • Interact with clients and engagement teams to coordinate project work and ensure client satisfaction
  • Continuing to expand depth and breadth of technical knowledge related to data engineering and application development
  • Build business and industry knowledge in one or more industries
  • Build personal and team capability in technical / business / industry area
  • Work on practice development activities, such as proposals, eminence, innovation

The team:

Deloitte Regulatory, Risk & Forensic helps clients manage strategic, financial, operational, technological, and regulatory risk to enhance enterprise value, while our experience in mergers and acquisitions, fraud, litigation, and reorganizations help clients emerge stronger and more resilient. We help clients in identifying, developing and implementing solutions for analytics enablement, and achieving their business, compliance and regulatory needs through intelligent use of data analytics, using our experience and expertise in varied areas of data management and analytics.

Qualifications

Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

  • Experience required is from 5 to 8 years.
  • Data pipeline architecture, design and build, including data Ingestion, processing and transformation.
  • Python/PySpark programming with emphasis on data engineering & management.
  • PySpark/Python execution logs interpretation, troubleshooting, and optimization of code efficiency on distributed platforms (e.g., YARN).
  • Manage large datasets and advanced programming skills in Python and/or SQL or other relational databases.
  • Experience in Big data / Hadoop / Spark.
  • Different data storage formats (e.g. JSON, AVRO, parquet, native database formats.
Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

Proficient in at least one technology, in each of the following areas:
  • Proficiency in Python and PySpark development.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL (including advanced analytics functions) and experience with Hadoop ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of version control using Git.
  • Experience in building data analytics solutions on AWS, Google Cloud, Azure.
