POSITION SUMMARY:

This role focuses on reconciling bank and clearing accounts across legal entities, supporting month-end close activities, and driving automation and process improvements. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills and experience with tools like Microsoft Copilot to streamline workflows and enhance reporting accuracy.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Preparatory and closing activities in areas like Treasury, Account receivable, Cash & Banking, Payments, Closing & Reporting, Intercompany and General Accounting. Primary responsibilities include:

• Perform weekly, monthly and quarterly account reconciliation according to Qualcomm Policies
• Prepare and record properly supported standard entries
• Perform activities required for month-end closing like preparing and posting journal entries, TB review according to the respective business deadlines
• Analyze and record activity for certain accounts across the portfolio as assigned
• Provide ad hoc reports to HQ, local controllership team and other finance functions
• Support the local controllership team in external annual audits by providing timely and appropriate financial data and supporting documentation
• Besides the main tasks and responsibilities listed above, responsible for completing any other tasks assigned by her/his supervisor or manager
• Drive automating processes and controls using tools like Microsoft Copilot, Power BI, Automation Anywhere, AI and ERP systems

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• B.Com or MBA with 3 - 5 years relevant experience
• Experience in accounting, reconciliation, and analytical research functions
• Strong analytical skills
• Fluent in English (written and verbal)
• Experience in working for a multinational corporation preferred
• CA, CPA, CMA, MBA preferred

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles
• Proficient with Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Copilot features (CoPilot Agent, predictive insights). Power BI, Alteryx, RPA preferred.
• Exposure to ERP systems,

Oracle and Kyriba preferred

• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work independently and communicate effectively across teams

Flexible and can adapt to change, team-oriented, and proactive in identifying process improvements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.
• 2+ years of Finance, Accounting, or related work experience.

• Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
