Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Garage Door Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of garage doors and related hardware. Your expertise will ensure that each installation meets safety standards, quality expectations, and customer satisfaction. Duties

• Install new garage doors, including framing, door hanging, and fixture installation, ensuring precise alignment and secure attachment.
• Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to cut, shape, and assemble components according to schematics and blueprints.
• Conduct heavy lifting of doors, hardware, and materials safely while adhering to safety protocols.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute accurate installations.
• Fabricate custom parts or modify existing components using carpentry skills, or welding as needed.
• Complete caulking, trim carpentry, locksmithing tasks, electrical connections, and remodeling work associated with garage door projects.
• Inspect completed installations for quality control; troubleshoot mechanical issues; perform adjustments or repairs as necessary.
• Maintain a clean work environment on construction sites; adhere to safety standards at all times.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project specifications are met efficiently.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction-related fields such as carpentry, remodeling or handyman work; construction site experience is highly valued.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and blueprints accurately.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights safely.
• Knowledge of door hanging processes, lock systems, electrical wiring (preferred), and fixture installation.
• Familiarity trim carpentry, fixture installation is a plus.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics for precise execution of projects.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and quality assurance.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record ; reliable transportation is necessary. Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
