Job Purpose:
To oversee the operation and maintenance of vehicles, heavy equipment, and workshop facilities in oil & gas projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable performance of all fleet and garage activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily garage/workshop operations, including scheduling, repairs, and maintenance of vehicles and heavy equipment.
- Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance plans are implemented effectively.
- Diagnose faults and coordinate with mechanics/electricians for timely repairs.
- Manage spare parts inventory, requisitions, and ensure cost-effective usage.
- Monitor vehicle and equipment performance to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, environmental policies, and company standards.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and service schedules.
- Train and guide workshop staff to enhance technical skills and work efficiency.
- Coordinate with operations, transport, and HSE departments for smooth logistics support.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on garage activities and equipment status.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum [X] years of experience as a Garage/Workshop Supervisor, preferably in the oil & gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, heavy vehicles, hydraulic systems, and equipment maintenance.
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary maintenance teams.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is an advantage.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
