Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Gardener, Facilities Maintenance Worker/ Handyman to join our dedicated team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to maintain and enhance the beauty and functionality of our gardens, grounds, and facilities. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for landscaping, and general maintenance to ensure our property remains inviting and well-kept.

This position performs a wide range of manual labor tasks essential to the landscaping, maintenance, infrastructure, and upkeep of the Resort. Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and the Lead Gardener, this role is responsible for performing physically demanding work in a safe, efficient, and respectufl manner, adhering to all safety, environmental, and operationsl policies of the Roman Spa Resort.

Duties

• Perform landscaping tasks which include planting, fertilizing, weeding, irrigation support, pruning, trimming, watering, soil preparation, and overall plant quality.
• Maintain & clean common areas and pathways, empty trash.
• Assist with loading, unloading, lifting and moving materials or equipment as directed.
• Perform general repairs around the property, which can include residential plumbing, electrical, and other essential repairs.

Minimum Requirements

• Posses the physical ability to perform labor-intensive tasks (lifting, bending, digging, standing, crouching, squatting, etc.)
• Must be able to successfully complete the required background check
• Must be able to successfully complete required safety and equipment use training
• Eligible to work in the United States (I-9 verification)
• Must be able to understand and follow oral and/or written instructions in the English language

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Work is primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions with exposure to the elements
• Frequest lifting, carrying, and physical exertion are required
• Must be able to lift and carry fifty (50) pounds
• Must be able to repeatedly bend or stoop, climb stairs, and or ladders
• Gross grasping and frequent use of hands and fingers
• Exposure to dust, noise, pollen, uneven terrain, and typical outdoor hazards may occur
• Must be able to wear personal protective or safety equipment when required
• Must have reliable transportation
• Good physical stamina for outdoor work in different weather conditions.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
