Gas Cutter

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform gas cutting of steel plates, pipes, and structural components as per drawings or supervisor instructions.
• Operate oxy-acetylene and other gas cutting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Measure and mark materials accurately before cutting.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of gas cylinders and cutting tools.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the yard work area.
• Assist in loading, unloading, and material handling when required.
• Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE at all times.
• Report equipment defects or safety hazards immediately to the supervisor.

Basic Knowledge & Skills Required:

• Basic knowledge of gas cutting techniques and equipment operation.
• Understanding of safety procedures related to gas cylinders and cutting operations.
• Ability to read basic measurements and markings.
• Familiarity with metal types and thickness handling.
• Physical fitness to work in outdoor yard conditions.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Qualification & Experience:

• Minimum education: Basic schooling or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in gas cutting preferred (freshers with basic training may apply).
