Gas Engineer

We are seeking a qualified and reliable Gas Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing and repair of a range of gas appliances and systems in residential and/or commercial properties across London. You will carry out routine maintenance, safety inspections and fault diagnosis, ensuring all work is completed to current regulations and high safety standards.

The successful candidate will be confident working independently, managing their own workload and responding to both scheduled jobs and emergency call-outs when required. You will also provide clear advice to customers on the safe and efficient use of their gas systems, maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach at all times.

All work must comply with UK gas safety regulations and a valid registration with the Gas Safe Register is essential.

Qualifications

• Install, service and repair gas appliances (boilers, cookers, fires, water heaters)
• Carry out routine safety inspections and maintenance checks
• Diagnose faults and perform necessary repairs
• Ensure all work complies with current gas safety regulations
• Issue gas safety certificates (e.g., CP12 for landlords)
• Respond to emergency call-outs (e.g., gas leaks or breakdowns)
• Advise customers on safe use of gas systems and energy efficiency.

Skills & Requirements

• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Gas Safe registration in the UK via Gas Safe Register)
• Strong knowledge of gas systems and safety standards
• Problem-solving and fault-finding skills
• Good customer service and communication
• Ability to work independently and manage workload

Typical Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating or Gas Engineering
• Valid Gas Safe registration
• Full clean UK driving licence
